A-s far as east is frae the west,
N-ae ne’er tae meet thegither,
T-his gowden band, in Drummond’s land,
H-ere placed upon the finger,
O-’er twa wha grace this ancient place
N-ae man tae split, nor siller,
Y-oung hairts devout where north an’ south
a-bridged doth span whaur pillars,
n-ew warld’s an’ auld wi’ timeless vows
d-eclaim, while turnin’ tillers
L-ink feet that tread the burlin’ Earth
I-n lands o’er here an’ hither,
S-end Ant an’ Lisa, like a brooch
A-ye clasped as wedded winners.
